Black is acceptable for all classes* Thank you for supporting SSDA and our dance dress code. Our dress code was created to promote the proper attitude and respect for all dance disciplines.
Please note that the Dress Code at SSDA will be strictly enforced to ensure the most optimal professional setting for all of our dancers.
No street clothes or footwear will be permitted for all TECHNIQUE CLASSES (ex ballet, tap, jazz, contemp/modern, etc) If you are not dressed properly with shoes and attire, you will be asked to observe class after one warning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and allows our staff to give their undivided attention to the needs of all our students. Please review our dress code policy with staff before purchasing new attire and shoes.
All dancers must be prepared for class, as their attire plays a large role in the ability for movement and proper instructor critique.
Hair MUST be worn in a ballet bun with bobby pins, secured tightly away from face. Bangs or any loose hair must also be pulled back. Dancers failing to meet these requirements will not be allowed into class.
