Class Description

Tiny tot classes (3-4 year olds)

This class meets for 30 minute each session. During this time they will cover introductory techniques in each of the different classes and experience ways to use their imagination to create dance moves and express ideas. Classes offered are Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro and Hip Hop. 

Pre classes (5-6 year olds)

 This class meets for 45 minutes. A foundation and technique building class designed for the young dancer. Students will learn the vocabulary and body placement to begin building a level of dance confidence in the variety of classes offered. Classes offered are Ballet, Tap, Jazz , Acro and Hip Hop. 

Ballet ages 7-18 (Classes vary from 30 min to 2 hrs)


This class is divided into 4 levels and students are placed by skill level. Ballet curriculum is designed for each level. Barre, Center and Locomotor.Dancing levels are NOT like school grades.  Most dancers repeat their same level more than once.  There are certain skills one must master in order to progress to next level.  Ages are a guideline not a final factor

Jazz ages 7-18 (Classes vary from 30 min to 1 hour)

This class combines the upbeat dancing style of current music with the technique of jazz. All music selections and dance moves are age appropriate. 

Tap ages 7-18 (Classes vary from 30 min to 1 hour

This is a percussive style of dancing. Its name comes from the tapping sound made when the metal plates on the dancer’s shoes touch a hard surface. 

Stretch & Flexilibity

This  class focuses on building core strength and increasing endurance and flexibility through a variety of exercises. 

Students will learn to use their own body weight (and eventually progress to assisted weight exercises with partners) to increase strength and flexibility with no additional cost of equipment. 

Specifics:  each class begins with a cardio warm-up  to improve conditioning.  Then will target a specific area of the body each week:  core, arms, legs, etc…  The class is focused on flexibility with stretching exercises to create the long lean muscles desired for dancing. 

Class Description

Contemporary/Modern ages 7-18 years old (Classes vary form 45 min to 1 hour)

Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet & jazz dance techniques that uses dramatic motion to interpret music and express emotion. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical & ballet.

Pointe/Pre-pointe

Pointe/Pre-Pointe is a class wherein the ballet dancer supports all their body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. Dancing en pointe makes the dancer appear weightless and sylph like; this is done by wearing special box toed pointe shoes. Students are recommended for pointe based on age and ability. A minimum of two regular ballet classes must be attended to dance en pointe, one of which must be the ballet class directly before pre-pointe or pointe. 

Acro/Tumbling ages 3-19 (Classes vary from 30 min to 1 hour)

This class teaches floor tumbling including forward rolls, back bends, cartwheels and fundamental acrobatic strengthening and coordinating skills. Additional advanced tumbling will be worked on in higher levels

Hip Hop ages 3-18 (Classes vary form 30 to 45 min)

Hip Hop is an upbeat style of dance performed to popular music. Although hip hop’s roots came from urban street dancing, it has become increasingly popular in the entertainment world. Funk dancing is the perfect fusion of styles, incorporating jazz roots into a melting pot of hip hop, break, popping & locking, along with other fashionable dance genres.

Turns & Leaps

This is a technique class designed to assist students in focusing on the leaps, jumps and turns that dancers perform in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. This specialized class is a way to better your technique when executing basic leaps, center leaps, turns, and fouetté.

Strength & Conditioning

A strength and conditioning class that emphasizes constantly-varied, high-intensity functional movement. Work cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy, maximizing your performance and fitness for any physical challenge or activity!

Class description

Adult Hip Hop (45 Minute class) ages 18 and up

Adult Hip Hop class is for adults ages 18 and up. Class will start off with some grooves. Then there will be some light stretching and strengthening. The rest of the class will be spent learning and practicing a combination. This class is great for adults that want to get a better sense of rhythm, let loose, and burn some calories.
